videos about us and our work
Our Values
Faith in Christ
We love God and serve him by helping people who are created in his image.
Professionalism
We are knowledgable, skilled and work very hard to give families and children support.
Respect
We listen. We understand that everyone is unique. We keep confidentiality.
Honesty
Adoption is hard. So we don’t manipulate people to adopt, and we don’t offer easy solutions.
David and Felicia - Our founders
David and Felicia Lee embarked on their journey in Romania in 2009 with a mission to support troubled youth. After years of dedicated service, they discovered that adoption has the power to transform children’s lives more than any other factor.
Their path was not without challenges, but their unwavering commitment led them to build an organization to support adoptive families in Romania. In their relentless pursuit of making a difference, they’ve overcome numerous obstacles to create a brighter future for the children they serve.
Mission: Children in Families
Our organization in Romania is called Asociația Umanitară Un Nou Început or A New Beginning in English, and our motto is Copii în Familie which translates, Children in Families.
Our purpose is to get children into families; and help those families be healthy and loving.

orphanos
Our funding and oversight is through Orphanos, of Memphis TN. Orphanos provides “fee-free” donor-management services for Christian missionaries and ministries caring for vulnerable children and families.
Orphanos provides you with a way to donate directly without overhead fees. And they provide us with: Money care, Member care, Ministry care and Media care.
Our Partnerships
Romania Without Orphans Alliance
We are members of an alliance of churches, NGOs and individuals across Romania all interested in helping abused and abandoned children get into homes. ARFO’s priorities are: Jesus Christ, Children, Church, Families and Excellence.
Child Protection Agency of Brasov, Romania
We work in cooperation with our local child protection agency. We have a great relationship with them. They send us all the families who want to adopt in our county to our organization for training. And we try to help them in any way we can to develop their services for children and families.
